BLISS Red

2025
Château de la Calonnière presents BLISS, its new brand dedicated to canned wine. Enjoy the roundness and fruitiness of our 100% Cabernet Franc in a modern format, ready to come along to the beach, on a hike, or to a picnic.

Appelation

Anjou Rouge

Terroir

Anjou Noir. Schist and sandstone soils of the Armorican Massif, bordered by the Layon.

Viticulture

Vines certified organic since 2024, trained using cordon and double Guyot methods, mostly over 30 years old. Mechanical soil work, with flowering fallow land sown to boost biodiversity and soil life. No chemical inputs, following a transition begun in 2021. Hand-harvested with strict sorting in the vineyard.

Winemaking and Ageing

Minimal intervention in the cellar. The pressing is slow and cold, and our alcoholic fermentations take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the freshness and authenticity of the fruit.

Vintage

2025 is shaping up to be one of the finest vintages of the decade in the Loire, with the harvest setting a new record for earliness, under particularly favourable conditions. A dry, warm year, marked by two summer heatwaves, almost no mildew pressure, and grapes in excellent condition.

Tasting Notes

BLISS RED is a fruity, round and refreshing wine, with aromas of red berries and a touch of indulgence. Its bright purplish-red robe gives it a lively character. Easy to drink, this wine is perfect for everyday enjoyment.

Food & Wine Pairing

Simple moments: aperitif platter.
Time to unwind: a glass in the kitchen, another at the table (no need to open a whole bottle).

Ageing & Serving

Up to 5 years. Serve between 14°C and 16°C, or even chilled straight from the fridge.
